On June 26th, we finally met our little gummy bear for the first time. Our Doctor does ultrasounds at each visit, so we were able to see what the baby looked like at 7 weeks old. The baby didn't look like very much! We could see the yolk sack (which disappears later) and a big comma. That's all the baby was - a big comma. The most exciting thing was being able to see the heartbeat.
Jamin and I had a lot of our questions answered and reassurance from the Doctor that everything was going well. The Doctor was very supportive of my workout schedule and wants me to keep it up throughout the pregnancy. He said since I am used to my weekly workout routine, there was no harm in keeping it up, as long as I didn't start anything new my body was not used to. He did tell me a few things I need to modify, but really encouraged the exercise. He said woman who exercise throughout pregnancy typically don't gain too much weight, they have healthier pregnancies, a smoother delivery, and quicker recovery after birth. That's enough motivation for me!
